DENVER – California Baptist's Caitlyn Harper has been named Western Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 4 through Nov. 10.
Harper, a sophomore forward from Hartland, Wis., led the Lancers to a pair of home wins against Long Beach State and CSUN. She averaged 18.0 points per game to go with 8.5 rebounds per game and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line. Her best game came in the opener against Long Beach State, scoring 22 points to go with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Other nominees included: Grand Canyon's Da'jah Daniel averaged nearly a double-double with 13.5 ppg and 9.0 rpg in a pair of season-opening games … Kansas City's Emily Ivory averaged 17.0 ppg for the Roos in a home win over Denver and a Preseason WNIT road loss to Pacific … NM State's Gia Pack scored 29 points to go with nine rebounds in a big road win at Denver on Saturday … Seattle U's Kamira Sanders led the WAC in scoring and also scored her 1000th career point on Saturday at Utah State … UT Rio Grande Valley's Halie Jones averaged 11.5 points for the Vaqueros, including 15 points in a home win over Minot State.
