2022 WAC Men’s Tennis Tournament Bracket Announced

DENVER – The bracket for the 2022 WAC Men’s Tennis tournament is set, with tournament host Lamar earning the No. 1 seed for the six-team, five-match event.
The tournament begins on Friday, April 22 in Beaumont, Texas at the Beaumont Municipal Tennis Center. The tournament concludes on Sunday, April 24 with the championship match set to begin at 9 a.m. The winner of the tournament earns the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
Lamar won the conference’s regular season title with a perfect record in its six league matches. Abilene Christian earned the No. 2 seed by posting a 5-1 mark in WAC matches. Both schools earn a first-round bye and will play their first matches in the 2022 postseason on Friday, April 23
The opening round matches consist of No. 4 seed Grand Canyon battling No. 5 seed UT Rio Grande Valley as well as No. 3 seed NM State competing against No. 6 seed Chicago State. Both of those opening round matches begins on Thursday, April 22 at 9 a.m.
