ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Zouhair Redouane and Utah Valley’s Oakley Olson have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Cross Country Athletes of the Week, for the meet week ending on Saturday, Aug. 31.
 
Redouane, a freshman, enjoyed an impactful debut for CBU during a team victory at the Mark Covert Invitational Grand Canyon Regional on Aug. 31 in Brea, California. Redouane won his initial college race with an 8K time of 23:45.4 to outpace the field by more than 30 seconds. The Lancers posted 33 points to outpoint Cal State Fullerton for the team victory.
 
Olson, a senior, was the top finisher for Utah Valley during a team runner-up showing at the UVU Invitational on Aug. 30. Olson placed second individually in the women’s 3-mile run with a time of 16:37.9. The No. 23 Wolverines scored 26 points to claim the team title, besting a field that included No. 14 Utah.
