ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley’s Morgan Nokes has been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week, for the competition week ending on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Nokes, a graduate student, won her fourth race in five starts during the regular season, taking the top spot in the women’s 6K at the Princeton Fall Classic on Oct. 17 in Princeton, New Jersey. Nokes registered an average mile split of 5:13.7 to take the top spot individually in 19:29.7, winning by nearly 15 full seconds and guiding Utah Valley to a sixth place finish out of 25 teams.
