Grand Canyon Earns Automatic Bid To 2025 NCAA DI Men’s Soccer Championship

ARLINGTON, Texas
– Grand Canyon, the winner of the final Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Soccer Tournament that was held Nov. 9-15 in Riverside, California, officially received entry into the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship on Monday as the conference’s automatic bid.

WAC programs have previously reached the third round twice (Seattle U in 2015, Air Force in 2018) and the NCAA quarterfinals on two occasions (Fresno State in 1996, SMU in 1997). WAC programs have advanced at least one round in 10 prior NCAA men’s soccer tournaments.

Grand Canyon (13-4-4) opens the 2025 NCAA Championship at Big Ten tournament champion UCLA (8-6-4) on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. PT. The Lopes, who have earned a result in eight straight matches dating back to Oct. 18, will make a fourth appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2018.
