Duo Named Google Cloud Academic All-District

DENVER - A pair of WAC baseball players picked up academic honors on Friday as Seattle U's Jacob Prater and California Baptist's Ryan Mota were named Google Cloud Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America. 

Prater, a senior infielder, earns honors after posting a 3.79 grade point average as an environmental studies and ecological studies major. Mota, a senior designated hitter, holds a 3.41 GPA as a sociology major at CBU. 

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. In addition, nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed.
