Grant, a sophomore from Surrey, England, went 2-0 over the weekend to close out WAC-play with a perfect 5-0 record. His most recent wins came against NM State 7-5, 6-1 and UT Rio Grande Valley 6-2, 7-5. Grant currently holds an eight-match win-streak.
Giraldo, a sophomore from Medellin, Columbia, and Stride, a graduate student from Bognor Regis, England, improved their overall record to 14-4 on the year. They won both of their matches over the weekend from the No. 1 spot against duos from Seattle U and Chicago State. The pair is currently on a seven-match win-streak and finished conference-play with an unscathed 5-0 record.
Other male singles nominees: Chicago State's Gonzalo Martinez tied CSU history in career singles wins with 51 as he picked up two more over the weekend… Ben Stride of Kansas City improved to 14-4 and 3-1 in the WAC as he won twice in the last conference pod.
Other male doubles nominees: Chicago State's Gonzalo Martinez and George Botha went 2-1 over the weekend dropping just one match to a duo from Kansas City… Mathieu Rajaonah and Lorenzo Fucile of Grand Canyon closed out the regular season with a 15-4 record and 3-2 in the WAC.
