WAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week Announced

DENVER – California Baptist's Britney Thomas has been named Western Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 28 through Feb. 3. This marks her third honor of the season.

Thomas, a junior forward from San Jacinto, Calif. (San Jacinto HS), scored 39 points in Saturday's 100-83 win over Seattle U. Against the Redhawks, she was 17-of-23 from the field, tying the conference mark for most field goals made in a game, and she brought down 11 rebounds for her 13th double-double of the season and fifth in WAC play. She also scored 14 points with nine rebounds and a pair of blocks in Thursday's win over Utah Valley.
