Six Named to USC All-Pacific Region Team

KANSAS CITY – Six WAC women's soccer players were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region team for the 2018 season. Kansas City claimed four of the six spots.

Kansas City's Reighan Childers, a senior midfielder from Grain Valley, Mo., was the only student-athlete named to first team. She finished the season with six goals and seven assists for 19 total points. Reighan tallied 61 shots placing 25 on goal throughout 19 games. She was named the WAC Offensive Player of the Year.

Kansas City landed two more on second team in Rylan Childers and Lexie Howard. Rylan, a freshman midfielder from Grain Valley, Mo., finished her first collegiate season with 10 goals and 14 assists. She sits atop the WAC in points with 36. Rylan also leads the conference in assists and is tied for best in goals. The freshman was named WAC Freshman of the Year and WAC Player of the Week twice.

Howard, a senior forward from Kearney, Mo., posted nine goals and ten assists. She finished the season leading the WAC in shots with 95 and shots per game averaging 4.52. Howard is second-best in total assists within the conference. She was named First Team All-WAC.

Kansas City's Abby Small, a junior defender from Kansas City, Mo., was named to third team. As a defender, Small tallied two goals and one assist while starting 19 of 19 games played. She helped the Roos to ten shutouts on the year, leading the WAC. Small was named WAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Isabelle Butterfield, a senior midfielder from Bellevue, Wash., was named to third team. She scored two goals on the season for Seattle U. Butterfield helped lead the Redhawks to WAC Tournament Champions and was named to the All-Tournament Team. She was also recognized as Second Team All-WAC and Academic All-District.

Selected to third team, Desarae Felix, a senior midfielder from Riverside, Calif., scored eight goals for California Baptist. Felix took 47 shots through 18 games averaging one on goal per game. She also recorded three assists for the Lancers. Felix was selected Second Team All-WAC and WAC Player of the Week once.
