Matchups For The 2023-24 WAC/CUSA Scheduling Initiative Announced

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and Conference USA have unveiled the head-to-head matchups for the first edition of a multi-year scheduling initiative between two of the fastest rising leagues in Division I college basketball.
 
As part of the scheduling initiative, a total of 36 games (18 in each gender) across both men’s and women's basketball will be contested in 2023-24 featuring WAC members matching up against CUSA counterparts.
 
Key matchups on the men’s basketball side include defending WAC champion Grand Canyon hosting Sam Houston (#69 in the final 2022-23 NCAA NET) and traveling to Liberty (#46 in the final 2022-23 NCAA NET), and Utah Valley (#58 in the final 2022-23 NCAA NET) traveling to Sam Houston and hosting Liberty.
 
Highlighting the women’s basketball matchups are defending WAC champion Southern Utah traveling to UTEP and hosting Western Kentucky, and Stephen F. Austin (#68 in the final 2022-23 NCAA NET) traveling to defending CUSA champion Middle Tennessee (#33 in the final 2022-23 NCAA NET) and hosting Liberty during the nonconference season.
