ARLINGTON, Texas – The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) announced the 2024 Academic All-WAC honorees for spring sports, along with freshmen and transfer student-athletes from all 2023-24 conference sports, on Friday. A total of 1,230 student-athletes across all 20 sports were recognized. 

To be eligible for Academic All-WAC recognition, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests.

Grand Canyon and Utah Valley led the way with 142 total honorees. Abilene Christian was third with 136 total honorees. 

Of the eight spring sports, WAC women’s outdoor track and field had the most student-athletes honored with 193. Baseball was second with 173, and men’s outdoor track and field was third with 155.
