ARLINGTON, Texas – The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) will return to a nine-team single-elimination format for the 2025 Hercules Tires WAC Basketball Tournament, to be held at Burns Arena in St. George, Utah on March 11 and at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas from March 12-15. The WAC Basketball Tournament previously featured nine teams in 1985-91, 2001, 2003 and 2007-09 on the men’s side, and 2001 and 2006-09 on the women’s side.

The WAC Basketball Tournament has taken place in Las Vegas each year dating back to 2011 and has been played at various locations in the city a total of 16 times since 1997. The 2025 edition of the event will be the first WAC Basketball Tournament to have at least one round contested on a member campus since 2010.
 
Each tournament bracket will feature eight total games per gender, with the number eight and nine seeds competing in the opening round at Burns Arena on March 11. The winner of the opening round game will face the top seed in quarterfinal action on March 12 at the Orleans Arena. The No. 2 seed will take on the No. 7 seed in an additional quarterfinal matchup on March 12.
 
The advancing teams from the March 12 quarterfinal games will earn an off day prior to the tournament semifinal round on March 14. The day two quarterfinal winners from the No. 4 seed vs. No. 5 seed and the No. 3 seed vs. No. 6 seed contests on March 13 will be the other semifinalists.
 
The 2025 Hercules Tires WAC Basketball Tournament championship games are scheduled to be played on March 15. The women's championship game will air live at 12:30 p.m. PT on ESPNU, with the men's title game to follow at 8:40 p.m. PT on ESPN2.
