ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Aleksandra Wegrzynowska and Lacey Neighbor have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Swimmer and Dive the Week, for the competition week ending on Sunday, Jan. 19.
 
Wegrzynowska, a senior, collected three top-two finishes with two victories in Grand Canyon’s women’s dual meet win over California Baptist. Wegrzynowska posted the second-fastest time in the 400 individual medley for the WAC, winning the event with a mark of 4:23.08. Wegrzynowska also won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:51.00, the eighth-best mark in the conference. She also finished second in the 200 butterfly at 2:04.14, the WAC’s ninth fastest time in that event.
 
Neighbor, a sophomore, won the 3-meter dive with a score of 243.20 and took third place in the 1-meter dive with 215.03 points.
