ARLINGTON, Texas – New Mexico State’s Emily Dobbins and Northern Colorado’s Madison Berg have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Swimmer and Diver the Week, for the competition week ending on Sunday, Feb. 9.
 
Dobbins, a sophomore, led New Mexico State to a 197-102 victory over New Mexico with three first-place finishes. Dobbins won the 100 backstroke at 55.96, almost 1.50 seconds ahead of the runner-up. Dobbins led a 1-2-3 finish for the Aggies in the 200 backstroke, picking up another victory with a time of 2:04.33. She began the day with a 24.24 split as part of a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:43.41). Dobbins also swam a 22.58 split in the 200 free relay, leading not only NMSU’s A Group, but the entire pool.
 
Berg, a senior, broke the 14-year-old Northern Colorado 1-meter record with a score of 309.30 at the DU First Chance Invite. Berg then won the 1-meter event at the dual meet with Grand Canyon the next day, posting a score of 308.70. She also finished second in the 3-meter dive with a mark of 267.90.
