ARLINGTON, Texas –Tarleton State’s Emma Burke, UT Arlington’s Mira Ledermueller and Samantha Glenn have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week, for the match week ending on Sunday, Oct. 19.
 
Burke, a senior middle blocker, was one block shy from a double-double as she led Tarleton State with 14 kills and nine total blocks in the Texans’ five-set win over Abilene Christian. Burke tallied a .500 hitting percentage on 22 attacks in the match, marking her best hitting percentage of the season on 14 or more attacks and the second-best hitting percentage in the WAC last week. Burke currently ranks second in blocks in conference play with 1.71 blocks per set.
 
Ledermueller, a junior setter, led the WAC in assists per set last week with 9.50/set in UT Arlington’s 3-1 upset win over Utah Tech. Ledermueller accounted for 38 of the Maverick’s 50 assists and tagged on 10 digs for a double-double. Ledermueller continues to lead the conference setters in WAC play with 8.77 assists per set.
 
Glenn, a junior libero, played a big role on the defensive side of the ball for UT Arlington as she recorded over one-third of the team’s total digs with 23 (5.75/set) in the match. Glenn’s 23 digs against UTU were the most in the WAC last week and helped her increase her lead in league play digs per set to 4.08.
