University Credit Union WAC Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week Announced

ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Dominique Daniels Jr. and Utah Tech’s Chance Trujillo have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Nov. 9.

Daniels, a graduate student guard, averaged 19.5 points and 6.5 assists per game in a 2-0 week for CBU, also pulling down 2.5 rebounds per contest for the Lancers. In the season opener against USC Upstate on Nov. 3, Daniels hit 10-of-19 field goals on his way to 23 points and six assists in the CBU win. On the road at UC Irvine on Nov. 7, Daniels poured in 16 points and dished out seven assists in the Lancer victory.

Trujillo, a redshirt sophomore transfer guard, averaged 13.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest for Utah Tech in a 2-2 start. Trujillo scored 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds while dishing out five assists in an overtime win at South Dakota on Nov. 3, and added 14 points and nine rebounds against Bethesda on Nov. 5 and 15 points and six rebounds at Arizona State on Nov. 9.
