TWO WAC TEAMS EMERGE FROM OPENING WEEK UNBEATEN
A pair of WAC teams went undefeated during the opening week of nonconference play. Abilene Christian won its first three games, defeating McMurry (92-55), Omaha (73-71) and Southwestern Adventist (104-63) at Moody Coliseum. California Baptist opened with a home victory against USC Upstate (87-75) before going on the road to down UC Irvine (69-61) and complete a 2-0 opening weekend.
CBU’S DANIELS EARNS SEASON’S FIRST POTW

Dominique Daniels Jr. captured the season’s first WAC Player of the Week award following CBU’s 2-0 start to the regular season. Daniels averaged 19.5 points and 6.5 assists per game for the Lancers in the opening week sweep. Daniels poured in 23 points and six assists against USC Upstate on Nov. 3 before scoring 16 points and dishing out seven assists at UC Irvine on Nov. 7.
UTAH TECH’S TRUJILLO EARNS WAC NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK

Chance Trujillo was named conference newcomer of the week following his debut week with the 2-2 Trailblazers. Trujillo averaged 13.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game over the opening week. Trujillo scored 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in an overtime win over South Dakota as a highlight of the opening week.
ACU’S HUBBARD POWERS THE WILDCATS TO FAST START

Bradyn Hubbard has been a force for the Wildcats in their 3-0 start to 2025-26. Hubbard averaged 18.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 47.4 percent from the floor in the three ACU victories. Hubbard’s best game of the season thus far was the 73-71 ACU win over Omaha on Nov. 6, where he scored a career-high 26 points to go with seven rebounds and five assists.
JOHNSON MAKES HIS MARK AT TARLETON STATE EARLY

Dior Johnson has been a key depth addition to Tarleton State through the first four games of the season, averaging 15.3 points per game while shooting 51.5 percent for the Texans. Johnson registered 23 points in just 23 minutes in his Tarleton State debut at SMU on Nov. 3 before scoring 32 points and pulling down six rebounds in a win over Texas A&M - Corpus Christi on Nov. 8. Johnson’s 32 points were the most scored in the conference in a single game thus far this season as of Nov. 12.
IT WAS A BLOCK PARTY FOR SOUTHERN UTAH’S FEROAH

Jaiden Feroah was a defensive standout for the Thunderbirds over the season’s first three games, blocking an impressive 4.3 shots per game. In a matchup with former WAC foe UTRGV on Nov. 8, Feroah nearly completed a triple double with 24 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocked shots. The eight blocks were the most of any WAC player to date this season as of Nov. 12.
