ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Dominique Daniels Jr. and Utah Tech’s Noah Bolanga have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Daniels, a graduate student guard, turned in a stellar performance on the road to guide CBU to an 88-83 victory at Eastern Washington on Dec. 12. Daniels scored 34 points on 10-of-21 shooting from the floor, adding a 12-of-14 output from the free-throw line, to go along with four rebounds, three assists and three steals across all 40 minutes. Daniels’ 34 points scored were the second-most in a game in the WAC thus far this season, pushing Daniels to a 20.8 points per game average over 10 starts as of Dec. 15.

Bolanga, a sophomore transfer guard, led the way for Utah Tech during an 89-48 win at home over Justice University on Dec. 13. Bolanga scored a career-high 19 points to go along with eight rebounds, two assists and three steals in the victory for the Trailblazers.
