No. 1 Utah Valley, No. 2 GCU To Meet In 2025 WAC Men’s Basketball Tournament Title Game

– The top two seeds in the 2025 WAC Men’s Basketball Tournament emerged from semifinal play on Friday with a date in the championship round. No. 1 seed Utah Valley bested No. 5 seed Seattle U 68-55 before No. 2 seed Grand Canyon downed No. 3 seed California Baptist 75-66 at the Orleans Arena. The final two teams will meet for the conference tournament championship on Saturday at 8:40 p.m. PT on ESPN2 and Sirius XM Radio.

Utah Valley advanced to its first WAC Tournament title game in program history, while Grand Canyon will attempt to become just the second WAC team to ever win the postseason tournament three consecutive times.

No. 1 Utah Valley 68, No. 5 Seattle U 55 (Box Score)

Tanner Toolson finished with a team-high 18 points to lead Utah Valley against Seattle U, connecting on 7-of-10 field goals while pulling down six rebounds and adding three steals. Carter Welling added 17 points, eight rebounds and three assists to the balanced Wolverine attack.

Kobe Williamson tallied a game-high 20 points for Seattle U, who also saw 15 points and nine rebounds from Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe.

No. 2 Grand Canyon 75, No. 3 California Baptist 66 (Box Score)

JaKobe Coles powered GCU with 22 points and three rebounds in the victory versus CBU, while Tyon-Grant Foster caught fire in the second half to finish with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Ray Harrison scored 14 points and dished out two assists for the Lopes.

Dominique Daniels Jr. poured in 18 points in defeat for CBU, while Kendal Coleman registered a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
