ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley earned the top men’s seed in the 2025 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Tournament that will take place on March 11-15 at Burns Arena in St. George, Utah, and the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

The Wolverines, who finished with a regular season record of 23-7 (15-1 WAC), secured its second number one seed in the WAC Tournament and its first since 2014. Utah Valley won 18 of its final 19 regular season games overall.

Utah Valley will face the winner of No. 9 seed Utah Tech (6-25, 2-14 WAC) and No. 8 seed Southern Utah (12-18, 4-12 WAC) in the first tournament quarterfinal matchup on March 12 at 6 p.m. PT at the Orleans Arena. Utah Tech and Southern Utah will meet on March 11 at 2:30 p.m. MT at Burns Arena in the tournament’s opening round.

Defending champion Grand Canyon (23-7, 13-3 WAC) finished a spirited competition with Utah Valley and settled into the second seed. The Lopes are in search of a third consecutive tournament title, previously downing Southern Utah 84-66 in 2023 and UT Arlington 89-74 in 2024 in the championship round. GCU will take on No. 7 seed UT Arlington (13-17, 6-10 WAC) on March 12 at 8:30 p.m. PT at the Orleans Arena.

The winners of the two quarterfinals on March 12 will advance to semifinal play on March 14. Other quarterfinal matchups will pit No. 5 seed Seattle U (13-17, 8-8 WAC) versus No. 4 seed Abilene Christian (16-15, 8-8 WAC) on March 13 at 6 p.m. PT, and No. 6 seed Tarleton State (12-19, 7-9 WAC) against No. 3 seed California Baptist (16-14, 9-7 WAC) on March 13 at 8:30 p.m. PT. All early round games will air live on ESPN+.

The 2025 WAC Men’s Basketball Tournament championship game will air live on ESPN2 at 8:40 p.m. PT on March 15.
