TWO-WAY TIE ATOP THE WAC STANDINGS
Riding extended winning streaks into February, both California Baptist and Utah Valley remain tied at the front of the WAC standings with matching 8-3 records (.727) and 18-6 (.750) marks overall. Utah Tech moved into solo third place at 7-4 (.636) in league play, followed by UT Arlington at 6-5 (.545).
CBU WINNING STREAK REACHES EIGHT STRAIGHT GAMES
California Baptist’s fantastic January has carried over into the last full month of the regular season, as the Lancers are riding an eight-game winning streak on their way to a two-game road swing through Utah this week. CBU defended its home court with competitive wins over Tarleton State and Abilene Christian to officially extend its winning streak to over a month.
Dominique Daniels Jr. has averaged 22.9 points per game over his last eight starts, adding 3.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contests for the Lancers during the winning streak.
Martel Williams has added averages of 13.7 points and 4.6 boards per contest in seven starts during the winning surge for the Lancers.
TRUJILLO LEADS UTAH TECH TO FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

Chance Trujillo earned WAC Player and Newcomer of the Week on Feb. 9 after helping guide the Trailblazers to a fourth straight victory, an 87-84 win in double overtime against UT Arlington on Feb. 5. Utah Tech led by as many as 10 points with just over 10 minutes to play before UTA roared back to take the lead with 25 seconds to play. The Trailblazers tied the game with late made free throws in regulation and a late jumper in the first overtime period. Trujillo gave Utah Tech the victory with a spot 3-pointer at the top of the key with 2.2 seconds to play for the 87-84 final score.
Ethan Potter has been the leading performer for Utah Tech during its four-game winning streak, averaging 17.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 58.3 percent. Trujillo has posted averages of 14.3 points and 3.8 boards in his last four games.
ACU AND UTA READY FOR A LINEAR TV SHOWDOWN IN ARLINGTON
WAC basketball fans will be able to catch a marquee men’s basketball matchup on ESPNU this week. Abilene Christian will host its first linear WAC men’s basketball conference game live from Moody Coliseum in Abilene on Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. (CT), welcoming UT Arlington for a key league showdown. Abilene Christian previously traveled to Grand Canyon for a conference ESPNU game in February of 2023, while UT Arlington defeated Tarleton State in February of 2025 at the College Park Center in Arlington in its conference regular season debut on a linear ESPN network. All other WAC conference controlled basketball games will be available on ESPN+ throughout the 2025-26 season.
TARLETON STATE BOUNCES BACK WITH SOLID ROAD TRIP
Tarleton State broke out of a January losing streak with two solid performances to kick off the month of February, taking California Baptist to the wire in a heartbreaking 56-55 setback on Feb. 5 in Riverside before defeating Southern Utah 62-59 in Cedar City on Feb. 7. Redshirt freshman forward
Andy Sigiscar made the most of the opportunity in the starting lineup for the Texans by averaging 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 71.4 percent. Sigiscar filled the stat sheet with 18 points, four boards and three blocks against CBU before finishing with 14 points, four rebounds, two blocks and three steals in the win at Southern Utah.
THE WAC IN THE NCAA STATISTICAL RANKINGS
As of the latest NCAA Division I statistical rankings that were released on Feb. 10, Tarleton State remained first in turnovers forced per game with an 18.58 clip. The Texans dropped to second nationally in steals per contest with 11.0 thefts per game as a team. UT Arlington slid back to fifth place in 3-point percentage defense against at 27.4 percent, and Utah Valley was seventh with 19.3 assists per game. Individually, California Baptist’s
