ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Tech’s Chance Trujillo has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Trujillo, a transfer redshirt sophomore guard, shined for Utah Tech in a thrilling 87-84 victory over UT Arlington in double overtime on Feb. 5. Trujillo poured in a Division I career-high 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-7 on attempts from 3-point range, to power the Trailblazers. Trujillo added five rebounds, one assist and a steal to the stat line in the win over UT Arlington.
