2026 WAC ITF Championships PDF Results
SPOKANE, Washington – Utah Valley captured its first WAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championship since 2015 and Tarleton State obtained its first-ever WAC Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday evening at the Podium.
Utah Valley totaled 197.5 points in the men’s team competition to beat out Tarleton State’s 174 points in the final team standings. UT Arlington rounded out the top three with 114.5 points.
Tarleton State won its first WAC indoor team title as the women’s team compiled 180.5 points throughout the meet. Utah Valley was able to edge ahead of UT Arlington for the runner-up spot as the Wolverines tallied 159 points with the Mavericks scoring 153.5 points.
Utah Valley swept the outstanding track performer awards with
Porter Whitworth claiming the men’s award and
Morgan Nokes capturing the women’s award. Whitworth collected 20 points after winning both the men’s 5,000-meters and 3,000-meters while Nokes swept the three individual distance events, claiming the gold in the women’s 5,000-meters, 3,000-meters and the mile for a total of 30 points.
Tarleton State claimed the men’s outstanding field performer award with the honor being split between
Sir Jonathan Sims and Jalen Cadet as the two Texans each tallied 16 points. Sims received the gold in the triple jump and finished third in the long jump while Cadet won the long jump and placed third in the high jump. The women’s outstanding field performer award was also split between UT Arlington’s
Arieanna McPeak and Tarleton State’s
Tayler Wessely, who both picked up 16 points as well. McPeak collected two silver medals, taking second place in the triple jump and long jump. Wessely won the weight throw and took the bronze in the shot put.
The Wolverines’ men’s squad totaled 92 points between the three distance events, highlighted by the 3000-meters event where Utah Valley claimed seven of the top eight placements to receive 37 of a possible 39 points. The Wolverines also swept the top three in the mile run with
Sila Kiplagat taking the top step of the podium, winning the event with a time of 4:03.79.
The Texans were once again highlighted by lightning-fast speed of
Victoria Cameron, who broke her own 60-meter dash all-time WAC record that she shattered yesterday in the prelims with a new record time of 7.08 in the finals. Cameron not only won the event, but set a new fastest time in NCAA D-I. Cameron led a total of five Texans who combined for 31 points in the event including a podium sweep.
