LAS VEGAS – The top seeds held on the second day of the 2026 Air Force Reserve Western Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday night at the Orleans Arena. No. 4 seed UT Arlington advanced past No. 5 seed Southern Utah 69-63 before No. 3 seed Utah Tech withheld a late surge from No. 6 seed Abilene Christian in an 80-74 victory.
UT Arlington earned a semifinal matchup with top-seeded Utah Valley on Friday at 6 p.m. PT, while Utah Tech will face No. 2 seed California Baptist at 8:30 p.m. PT. Both games will air live on ESPN+.

Marcell McCreary led the way for UTA with 18 points and eight rebounds, and Raysean Seamster contributed a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Jordan Lowery also filled the stat sheet for the Mavericks with 12 points, four assists and five steals.
Jaiden Feroah scored a game-high 22 points in the setback for Southern Utah to lead all scorers. Elijah Duval added 17 points for the Thunderbirds.
No. 3 Utah Tech 80, No. 6 Abilene Christian 74 (Box Score)
Ethan Potter connected on 10-of-15 shots for Utah Tech to lead all scorers in the second game with 25 points. Potter also logged seven rebounds and three assists. Chance Trujillo finished the night with 11 points and four assists to go along with two steals.
Bradyn Hubbard and Rich Smith each shared the ACU team lead with 19 points, and Yaniel Rivera contributed 11 points and three steals.
