ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Ashlee Annett and Southern Utah’s Hannah Duncan have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Mar. 15.
 
Annett, a senior infielder, compiled a .533 batting average last week after totaling eight hits in 15 at-bats with three multi-hit games. Annett went 3-for-3 with four RBIs in California Baptist’s 9-1 victory at UC San Deigo on Tuesday as she picked a triple and two singles, driving in at least one run on each hit. Annett knocked in a run with an RBI double against North Dakota State in the first game of a Friday double-header against the Bison, assisting CBU in a 2-1 extra-inning win.
 
Duncan, a sophomore right-handed pitcher, made three appearances in four games for Southern Utah last week and allowed only one earned run in a total of 11.1 innings for a 0.61 ERA on the week. Duncan secured a win over a strong LMU team on Friday where she pitched six innings while allowing one run and striking out seven batters. Duncan then picked up a save against Portland State on Saturday as she tossed three scoreless frames and struck out four. Duncan currently leads the WAC with three saves on the season.
