Cain, Lemberga Named Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above WAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington’s Alexis Cain and Eliza Lemberga are the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, for the competition period between April 8th and April 14th.

Cain, a junior from Euclid, Ohio, ran the 200-meter dash at the Baylor Invitational in a time of 23.46 – the best time in the WAC this season. Cain also recorded the best time in the WAC this season in the 400-meters with a time of 53.61, at the same meet, placing her third in the event.

Lemberga, a junior from Krape, Latvia, scored 5493 points in the heptathlon at the 44 Farms Invitational at Texas A&M. This is the best score in the WAC this season and 24th best in the NCAA. This was also a personal-best and number two all-time for UTA.
