ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Tech’s Kennedi Knudsen, UT Arlington’s Mollie Blank, and Tarleton State’s Emma Halcomb have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Volleyball Player, Setter, and Libero of the Week, for the match week ending on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
 
Knudsen, a junior outside hitter, led Utah Tech to a double sweep week and lifted the Trailblazers to second in the conference standings with a chance to clinch a postseason spot this coming week. In UTU’s sweep over Abilene Christian, Knudsen recorded the most kills (20) in a three-set match by a WAC player and tied for the most points (22) in a three-set match by a conference player this season. Knudsen also notched her highest hitting percentage in a match, with a minimum 30 attacks, on the season with a .400 hitting percentage against the Wildcats. Knudsen totaled a .301 hitting percentage on the week with 31 kills, 16 digs, and six blocks.
 
Blank, a graduate setter, went back-to-back in the weekly setter honors following another undefeated week for UT Arlington. Blank helped UTA to a .248 team hitting percentage over the week and tallied 71 assists in eight sets (8.88/set). Blank also totaled 13 kills in their two matches including eight against Utah Valley which is the most kills in a match by a WAC setter this year. Blank ended up with a .636 hitting percentage on the week and notched 14 digs and four blocks as well. She continues to lead the WAC in assists per set in conference play with 11.17.
 
Halcomb, took her second weekly libero honor this year after recording a 2024 WAC individual match high of 34 digs against Abilene Christian. Her 34 digs were a career high and tied the Tarleton State D-I record for most digs in a single match. Halcomb also notched six assists against ACU, tying her season high. Halcomb added another 14 digs against Utah Tech to move her total dig count to 48 (6.86/set) on the week. Halcomb currently holds the second most digs per set in conference play with 4.43.
