Utah Valley Wins The 2025 WAC Volleyball Tournament Championship

ABILENE, Texas – No. 1 Utah Valley claimed its third WAC Volleyball Tournament title after defeating No. 2 Utah Tech in a five-set showdown (25-21, 25-27, 25-17, 21-25, 15-6). With tonight’s victory, Utah Valley earned an automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship.
 
The WAC Player of the Year, Avery Page, was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player after totaling a season-high 22 kills in the championship match. Joining Page on the All-Tournament team from Utah Valley was Bella Wooden and Evalyn Chism. Wooden collected 10 kills in the match and led the team with 10 total blocks, accounting for three of the Wolverines’ four solo blocks. Chism tallied a season-high in both assists (54) and digs (21), leading the team in both statistics. Page, Chism, Lani Matavao and Sami Blackett made up 75 of the Wolverines’ 88 total digs as each player posted at least 17 digs.
 
Making the All-Tournament Team from Utah tech was Nana Asiata, Marley Roe and Tessa Treanor. Asiata led Utah Tech with 12 kills as three Trailblazers finished with double-digit kills. Treanor and Emery Harrison each tallied 11 kills apiece with Treanor notching her second double-double of the tournament after collecting 13 digs in the match. Roe and Tehanie Waters also picked up double-doubles as Roe recorded a team-high 27 assists along with 15 digs with Waters posting 15 assists and 13 digs.
 
Utah Valley now awaits the NCAA DI Women’s Volleyball Selection Show on Sunday, November 30 at 6 p.m. ET on ESPNU, where the Wolverines will find out who they will face in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
