ABILENE, Texas –No. 3 Tarleton State, No. 2 Utah Tech and No. 4 Abilene Christian won the quarterfinal matchups in the 2025 WAC Volleyball Tournament and will advance to the semifinal round that will take place Friday, November 21.
No. 3 Tarleton will battle No. 2 Utah Tech in the first semifinal match at 4 p.m. CT and No. 4 Abilene Christian will face No. 1 Utah Valley in the second semifinal at 6 p.m. CT.

Tarleton State captured its first-ever D-I postseason win to advance to the WAC Tournament semifinals after defeating California Baptist 3-2 (25-23, 22-25, 20-25, 25-19, 15-12) in a five-set thriller to kick off the conference tournament. The Texans improved their overall season record to 16-9 while the Lancers finished their year at 7-18.
Tehana Mo’o and Madison Frank led the Texans offensively, collecting 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Mo’o notched her second consecutive double-double, adding a season-high 12 digs to her total kills. Emma Burke tallied a team-high eight total blocks along with seven kills and two aces for a total of 13.5 points.
California Baptist’s Emery DeJong had herself a career-night, setting career-highs in kills (21), points (28), aces (4), digs (14) and total blocks (4). The Lancers also got a strong performance from Eleftheria Baxa who recorded 15 kills with a .375 hitting percentage. Maddie Brown registered a season-high 49 assists along with 12 digs for a double-double in the match.
No. 2 Utah Tech 3, No. 7 Southern Utah 1 | Box Score
Utah Tech also won its first-ever D-I postseason victory with a 3-1 (22-25, 25-8, 25-21, 25-13) win over Southern Utah. The Trailblazers picked up their 20th victory of the season to improve to 20-5 in the 2025 season while Southern Utah capped off the year with a 3-21 record.
Tessa Treanor and Nana Asiata led the Trailblazers with 12 kills apiece, accounting for exactly half of Utah Tech’s 48 kills in the match. Casidy Fried recorded a .727 hitting percentage after totaling eight kills on 11 attempts with no errors. Marley Roe notched a double-double with 26 assists and 10 digs.
Victoria Zibecchi and Addyson McArthur each collected a team-high 10 kills in the match for Southern Utah.
No. 4 Abilene Christian 3, No. 5 UT Arlington | Box Score
Abilene Christian earned its first-ever WAC Tournament victory and first win in a conference tournament since 2017 with a 3-2 (25-19, 25-27, 25-19, 20-25, 15-11) victory over last year’s WAC Tournament champions, UT Arlington. The Wildcats move to 13-16 on the year, tying for the most wins in their program’s D-I era, while the Mavericks conclude the 2025 season 11-14.
Four Wildcats claimed double-digit kills in the match, led by Ashli Edmiston and Hannah Gonzalez who both recorded 12 kills. Gonzalez registered a .474 hitting percentage and tallied seven total digs, three solo, for a team-high 18.0 points. Aubrey Beaver and Annaleise Sevier also collected 10 kills each. Rachel Koss notched a double-double with 32 assists and 13 digs.
Jalie Tritt and Camryn McMinn accounted for 36 of the Mavericks’ 55 total kills, as Tritt lead the way with a season-high 20 kills. Mira Ledermueller led UTA with 47 assists and Samantha Glenn led the Mavericks in digs with 15.
