ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley’s Sadie Beardall, Grand Canyon’s Sidney Roberts, and Southern Utah’s Darya Mosallaei have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player, and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Oct. 7.
 
Beardall, a sophomore forward, played a vital role in Utah Valley’s 4-3 win against Utah Tech, recording a goal and two assists for the Wolverines. Beardall assisted Sarah Oyler and Haley Funn in finding the back of the net, then scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 81^st minute for her second goal of the season. Beardall’s two assists brings her count to five on the year, making her one of five Wolverines with five assists this season.
 
Roberts, a redshirt senior defender, played a full 180 minutes against Abilene Christian and Tarleton State and held the opponents to only one goal in the two matches. Roberts competed in her final two home games for Grand Canyon where she led the defensive unit to allow just eight shots on goal last week.
 
Mosallaei, a senior goalkeeper, helped Southern Utah collect their first conference point of the year with at scoreless draw a home versus Seattle U. Mosallaei totaled seven saves against the Redhawks, the fourth time this season she’s tallied seven or more saves in a match. This was only the third time this year Seattle U has been shut out. Mosallaei is second in the WAC in shutouts (4) and third in saves (59).
