ARLINGTON, Texas – It was announced on Monday on the NCAA Women’s Soccer Selection Show that both California Baptist and Utah Valley will represent the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in the 2025 NCAA D-I Women’s Soccer Tournament. This will be the first time the WAC has earned two bids into the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament since 2022. The WAC was one of just seven conferences to have multiple bids in the tournament.
California Baptist (10-8-4) officially received the conference’s automatic qualifier into the tournament after winning its second consecutive WAC Tournament. The Lancers were placed in the bottom right quadrant of the bracket and will take on No. 3 Kansas (14-5-3) in the first round on Friday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. CT at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kansas. The winner will move on to the second round to face the winner of No. 6 Louisville and Kentucky.
Utah Valley (14-4-3) earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament where the program will make it's fifth appearance and the first since 2022. The Wolverines were placed in the top right quadrant of the bracket and will square off with No. 3 Colorado (15-3-3) in the first round on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. CT at Prentup Field in Boulder, Colorado. The winner will advance to the second round to play the winner of No. 6 Xavier and Dayton.
The NCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship match will be on Monday, Dec. 8 and will be held at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
