WAC WSOC25 Release Week 12
UTAH VALLEY AIMS FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT REGULAR SEASON TITLE
Utah Valley had a weekend to remember as the Wolverines claimed two dominant wins last week defeating Southern Utah 8-0 and Utah Tech 3-0. UVU clinched its spot in the WAC Tournament with the victory over the Thunderbirds and the win against the Trailblazers capped off a perfect 5-0 home record during WAC play. With a four-point lead over California Baptist heading into the final week of the regular season, Utah Valley can lock up its fourth straight regular season title either with a win or a CBU loss.

CALIFORNIA BAPTIST LOCKS INTO WAC TOURNAMENT
California Baptist is set to defend its WAC Tournament title after clinching a spot in the 2025 WAC Tournament following a 2-1 victory over Utah Tech last Thursday. After defeating Southern Utah 3-0 on Sunday, the Lancers will be guaranteed at least the No. 2 seed the tournament as the Trailblazers and the rest of the league won’t be able to catch CBU in points.
Ava Westlund had another strong offensive weekend as the junior recorded one goal and three assists across the two matches.

FAITH WEBBER MAKES WAC HISTORY
Utah Valley’s
Faith Webber produced one of the most dominant weeks in WAC history, finishing with six goals and one assist across two wins. Webber opened with a UVU-record five goals in an 8-0 victory over Southern Utah, breaking the single WAC-match goals record, tying the WAC all-matches record, and becoming the all-time career leader in WAC match goals with 39. She followed with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Utah Tech, tying the WAC career record for points in conference play at 84. Nationally, her five-goal outing tied for the most individual goals and points in a single match in NCAA D-I this season.

THREE TEAMS GOING FOR THE FINAL TOURNAMENT SPOT
With Utah Tech sitting comfortably in third place in the league standings, the fourth and final spot in the WAC Women’s Soccer Tournament will be decided between Southern Utah, Tarleton State and Abilene Christian. The Thunderbirds currently hold the final spot with seven points over the Texans and Wildcats who each have six points. Both Tarleton State and Abilene Christian will have two chances to jump over Southern Utah in the standings who has only one match remaining in the final week of the regular season. The Texans and Wildcats will each host CBU and UVU while the Thunderbirds will travel to St. George to play the Trailblazers.
