ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s
Junior Diouf was one of 12 Division I men’s soccer players tabbed to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches DI All-America First Team that was unveiled on Friday. Diouf became the first Western Athletic Conference (WAC) men’s soccer player to earn All-America honors from the United Soccer Coaches since the spring of 2021, and the first to land on the top team since Air Force’s Tucker Bone in 2018.
Diouf, a freshman forward, was the national leader in goals scored with 18 and was tied for the top spot in NCAA DI in points with 42 entering the Men’s College Cup. In seven conference contests for the Lopes, Diouf was tied for the WAC lead with six goals and ranked second across league matches with 13 points. Diouf became the first freshman to win the WAC’s top offensive player award since it was introduced in 2013.
Diouf’s 79 overall shot attempts and five multi-goal matches were the best in the conference across all matches. Diouf also connected on seven match-winning goals during the 2025 season, providing the deciding goals against Jacksonville (Aug. 21), UTRGV (Sept. 30), Utah Valley (Oct. 4), San Diego State (Oct. 9), UNLV (Nov. 1), San Jose State (WAC final, Nov. 15) and San Diego (NCAA second round, Nov. 23) to lead GCU to the third round of the NCAA tournament.
