ARLINGTON, Texas – Five players representing Western Athletic Conference (WAC) men’s soccer programs were selected as part of the 2026 MLS SuperDraft on Thursday to cap off the final season of play in the conference.

Martin Luala went 28th overall in the first round to San Diego FC, while Utah Valley midfielder
Isaac Emojong was the first pick of the second round (31st overall) to D.C. United. California Baptist striker
Blake D’Agostino was the fourth pick of the third round (64th overall) to Sporting KC, and Utah Tech goalkeeper
Stockton Short (81st Overall, Seattle Sounders) and San Jose State midfielder
Gilberto Rivera (88th Overall, Houston Dynamo) were also third-round selections.
Multiple WAC players were chosen in the same MLS SuperDraft on seven occasions dating back to 2018, with a record six players from the conference being drafted in 2022. Luala was the 11th and final first-round draft pick representing the WAC dating back to the 1997 MLS SuperDraft.
