ARLINGTON, Texas
– California Baptist landed atop the overall standings of the 2025-26 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Commissioner’s Cup following the fall 2025 competition season.

The WAC awards its Commissioner's Cup to the school that performs the best in a countable 14 of the conference's 17 men's and women's sponsored sports from an academic year. Points are awarded by aggregate scoring based on regular season and/or championship finishes depending on the sport and the number of institutions that sponsor the sport. An institution that does not sponsor a specific sport does not receive any points.

Only the regular season was counted for the sports of soccer, volleyball and football (WAC members compete in the football-only United Athletic Conference) during the fall of 2025. For the sport of cross country, points were determined using the WAC Championship results based on the per sport scoring system. Affiliates are used as a placeholder in the standings or championship results but are not scored in the overall Commissioner’s Cup standings. Any team that earned an NCAA AQ from a WAC Championship was also awarded two points, and teams advancing in NCAA tournament events received two bonus points for each subsequent round reached.

California Baptist registered 33.3 points to lead the fall cup standings thanks to conference championships in men’s and women’s cross country, a regular season men’s soccer title and bonus points for winning the women’s soccer tournament as the second seed. The Lancers also received bonus points for qualifying for the NCAA Men’s Cross Country Championships.

Utah Valley checked in with 32.1 points and in second place in the standings after finishing as co-champions in the regular season before capturing the WAC Volleyball Tournament crown and finishing atop the women’s soccer regular season standings. The Wolverines added runner-up showings in men’s and women’s races at the WAC Cross Country Championships in Arlington.

Abilene Christian checked in solo third place with 23.1 points following the fall. The Wildcats were powered by a co-championship in UAC football, earning the conference’s automatic bid to the FCS tournament and two bonus points.
