ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Matthew Diehl and Utah Valley’s Dane Huddleston have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfers of the Week for the tournament week ending Wednesday, March 12.

Diehl earned two top-10 finishes for GCU during last week, capturing medalist honors at the Desert Mountain Collegiate on March 8-9 in Scottdale, Arizona before tying for sixth place at the GCU Invitational in Phoenix on March 11-12. Diehl fired rounds of 68-65-69 to card a 14-under-par score of 202 and win by five strokes in Scottsdale. Diehl’s 68-72-71 showing of 2-under-par 211 helped GCU capture the team title at its home invitational.

Huddleston earned his fourth individual victory of the season with a win at the Bandon Dunes Championship on March 9-11 in Bandon, Oregon. Huddleston carded rounds of 67-68-67 to post an 11-under-par score of 202 to take the win by seven strokes. Huddleston’s first round 67 and second round 68 were the lowest 18-hole scores in the tournament field of each round.
