ARLINGTON, Texas – At the end of 20 rounds of selections by the 30 teams in Major League Baseball, 10 players representing the WAC were chosen as part of the 2025 MLB Draft that was held from July 13-14 in Atlanta.
Five primary pitchers were among the 10 draftees to make it the most popular position of all WAC players drafted. Three infielders and two outfielders rounded out the positions of WAC draftees. Players were drafted by the Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Minnesota Twins and Seattle Mariners of the American League, and the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Miami Marlins and Milwaukee Brewers of the National League.
