ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s Stevie Reynolds, Utah Valley’s Taylor Nelson and Leah Wolf have been named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Aug. 18.

Reynolds, a senior forward, scored all three of Tarleton State’s goals last week including the game-winning goal over UTRGV in the Texans’ season-opener on Thursday and a brace against Houston Christian on Sunday. Reynolds was the only player in the WAC to have more than one goal scored and was one of 20 players in the country to score at least three goals in the opening week.

Taylor, a senior defender, helped anchor the Wolverine back line for 90 minutes on Monday as Utah Valley shut out in-state Big 12 rival Utah 2-0 for the second consecutive year.

Wolf, a senior goalkeeper, tallied a career-high 11 saves against Utah and recorded her second career clean sheet. The 11 saves tied for the fourth-most in a single match in UVU history and were the most saves in a game in the WAC during opening week.
