WAC WSOC25 Release Week 3

ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLECTS A PAIR OF WINS
Abilene Christian is off to a hot start as the Wildcats are 3-1-0 to begin the season, surrendering only one goal in the first four games. Last week, the Wildcats claimed a pair of 1-0 victories against Tulsa and Houston Christian. Abby Smith and Shakira Kafero Roberts recorded the game-winners for ACU as Kafero Roberts scored with just four minutes remaining in the match against HCU to lift the Wildcats to their second consecutive win. McCarly Holloman was named this week’s WAC Defensive Player of the Week after playing the entirety of both games last week and helping ACU to two clean sheets.

REYNOLDS NOTCHES ANOTHER BRACE FOR TARLETON STATE
Tarleton State is coming off an undefeated week after defeating Texas Southern 4-0 and drawing with Northwestern State 0-0 in a weather-shortened match. Stevie Reynolds recorded her second brace of the season against the Tigers to improve to five goals on the year in just four games, the most in the WAC. Reynolds is now one of 12 players in the country to have five goals scored as of Aug. 27.

BIG WEEK ON DECK FOR THE WOLVERINES
The Wolverines are being put to the test early in the season as Utah Valley will host a trio of power-conference opponents for its next three matches, including California on Thursday and Auburn on Monday. The Wolverines are looking to rebound at home after falling short on a comeback against No. 23 Kansas where Faith Webber netted her first goal of the season.

CALIFORNIA BAPTIST HEADS TO HAWAII
California Baptist will be heading to Honolulu, Hawaii to participate in the University of Hawaii Tournament, facing a pair of opponents for the first time in its program history: South Dakota State and Hawaii. The Lancers are fresh off a 1-0 victory over CSUN where Kaylee Hauck found the back of the net for the game-winner and her first goal of the year.
