ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s Jaycie Bass, Utah Tech’s Michelle Rodriguez and California Baptist’s Mikayla O’Brien have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Sept. 1.
 
Bass, a senior midfielder, scored her first two goals of the season with a brace against Incarnate Word where Tarleton State pulled off the 4-1 victory. Bass now becomes one of four players in the WAC to have multiple goals scored so far this season. Bass joins her Texan teammate Stevie Reynolds as the only WAC players to record a brace in 2025.
 
Rodriguez, a senior defender, played a full 90 minutes in Utah Tech’s only match of the week where the Trailblazers defeated CSUN 2-1. Rodriguez and the Trailblazer defense allowed just one goal and two shots on goal.
 
O’Brien, a senior goalkeeper, kept the Lancers in the fight against South Dakota State, the reigning Summit League champions, as she posted seven saves for California Baptist and surrendered just one goal. O’Brien leads the WAC with 6.25 saves per game.
