ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s David Mvundura and Lokesh Sathyanathan have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, for the competition week ending on Sunday, Feb. 15.
 
Mvundura, a senior, set personal records in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes last weekend at the Jarvis Scott Invitational hosted by Texas Tech. Mvundura placed 13^th in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 6.69 seconds, the second best 60-meter time in the WAC this season. Mvundura then placed 15^th in a 200-meter event that over 100 athletes competed in, clocking in at 21.15, also the second best conference mark this indoor season.
 
Sathyanathan, a senior, set a Tarleton State program record and Indian national record in the long jump championship at the Tyson Invitational hosted by Arkansas after finishing 8^th in an event field with professionals competing for world ranking points. Sathyanathan recorded a mark of 8.01 meters which is top of the WAC charts and 7^th in the NCAA this season.
