ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Jared Abercrombie has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfer of the Week for the competition week ending on Wednesday, Mar. 25.  
 
Abercrombie, a sophomore, picked up a third-place finish, in the UC San Diego Invitational, finishing with a score of 7-under-par and carding rounds of 72-68-69. Out of 105 total golfers in the field, Abercrombie recorded the best score on par-4 holes, finishing at 7-under and averaging 3.77 strokes per hole. He also tied for the second-most birdies in the field with 15. Abercrombie has placed in the top ten in his last three tournaments.
