ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s Alvaro Pastor has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfer of the Week for the competition week ending on Wednesday, Mar. 4.  
 
Pastor, a redshirt freshman, captured his first collegiate individual title by winning the Golden Nugget Invitational on Tuesday with a 16-under-par (200) performance, carding rounds of 65-66-69. Pastor tallied 16 birdies and an eagle to win the individual title by two strokes. He guided the Texans to a third-place finish and helped the team compile their lowest 54-hole score in their DI era at 828, beating the previous record by 10 strokes.
