LANCERS GROW WAC STANDINGS LEAD FOLLOWING SECOND STRAIGHT SWEEP
California Baptist has grown its lead in the conference standings to three games over second place, UT Arlington, following the series sweep over Utah Tech last weekend. The Lancers have climbed up to 84th in the latest NCAA DI RPI rankings as CBU enters the week on an eight-game winning streak. The Lancers now head to Arlington to take on the Mavericks as they look to extend their WAC standings lead.
HALL POWERS UVU TO SERIES VICTORY OVER UTA
Utah Valley’s
Tatum Hall was named this week’s WAC Player of the Week after a strong weekend at the plate last week against UTA. Hall notched a .700 batting average in the UTA series with three doubles, a home run, nine RBIs and five runs scored. Hall also went 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, five RBIs and two runs scored in a midweek run-rule victory over Weber State. Her four doubles, 10 hits, 14 RBIs and 20 total bases last week were tied for the most in the nation.
SCHULTZ BLANKS THE WILDCATS
Two complete-game shutouts for Tarleton State’s
Shelby Schultz landed the Texan this week’s WAC Pitcher of the Week honor. Helping the Texans win the series against ACU, Schultz threw 12.0 scoreless innings where she allowed zero walks, just four total hits and tallied 11 strikeouts.
SNIPES TOSSES COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT IN HISTORIC ACU VICTORY

Alissa Snipes threw her first career complete game shutout in the 7-0 series finale win over Tarleton State, the Wildcats’ first shutout win of 2026. The victory marked the ACU softball’s 700th win in program history.
MCNULTY PREVENTS UVU SWEEP
Utah Valley was on its way to a three-game sweep over UT Arlington until UTA’s
Mia McNulty launched her game-winning two-run homer down the left field line in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mavericks ahead 8-7. After UTA gained a 9-7 advantage,
Madi McDonnell preserved the save to give the Mavs the series finale win.
UTAH TECH TURNS AROUND ROAD TRIP WITH THREE CONSECUTIVE NON-CONFERENCE WINS
Utah Tech rebounded from a tough start to its California road trip with three straight early week non-conference victories. The Trailblazers collected a 11-9 win at San Diego on Monday and took both games of a Tuesday double-header against CSU Bakersfield.
Kinley Pappas continued her offensive dominance with a combined five RBIs and six runs scored throughout the three games.
