ARLINGTON, Texas – The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) is recognizing Academic All-WAC honorees for spring sports, while also honoring outstanding freshman and transfer student-athletes from across all conference sports during the 2025-26 academic year. More than 750 student-athletes representing all 17 WAC sports earned academic recognition.

To qualify for Academic All-WAC honors, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic year, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher, and participate in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests. In baseball and softball, pitchers must appear in at least 20 percent of the team’s games to be eligible.

Among the spring sports, more than 500 student-athletes received Academic All-WAC recognition. Women’s Outdoor Track & Field led all spring sports with 140 honorees, the highest total among the conference’s spring championship sports.

In addition, the WAC recognized over 200 freshmen and first-year transfer student-athletes for their academic achievements, in both fall and winter sports. The Academic All-WAC program showcases the dedication of WAC student-athletes, who excel both in their respective sports and in the classroom.
