ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Tech’s Taylor Rogers and Luca Campoli and California Baptist’s William Lawson have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Oct. 13.

Rogers, a sophomore forward, earned a second weekly conference honor after leading the WAC in scoring during a 2-0 Utah Tech homestand. Rogers assisted on the opening goal in the 14th minute and scored the match-winning goal in the 62nd minute of a 3-1 win for the Trailblazers over San José State on Oct. 9. Rogers assisted on the third (77th minute) and tallied the fourth (89th) goal of a 4-0 shutout of Air Force on Oct. 12.

Lawson, a sophomore defender, shined on defense for CBU in a 1-0-1 week that saw the Lancers only yield one goal and eight total shots on frame. Lawson and the Lancer defense held UNLV to just four total shot attempts on goal in a 1-1 draw on Oct. 9 before preventing WAC leading scorer Junior Diouf from officially attempting a shot in a 1-0 shutout for CBU over Grand Canyon on Oct. 12. Lawson also recorded his first career goal in the 45th minute of the win against GCU.

Campoli, a freshman goalkeeper, remained unbeaten in conference play after playing the entirety of two WAC home wins last weekend. Campoli made five saves in a 3-1 triumph over San José State on Oct. 9 before registering the first solo clean sheet victory of his collegiate career in a 4-0 decision against Air Force on Oct. 12.
