ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Anja Jestrovic, Summer Allen and Mikayla O’Brien have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Oct. 12.
 
Jestrovic, a junior midfielder, led the offensive charge for the Lancers last week, posting five points with two goals and one assist in a two-win week for California Baptist. Jestrovic assisted the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Southern Utah and followed with a brace against Utah Tech, scoring the only two goals in the match for the win over the Trailblazers 2-0.
 
Allen, a senior defender, helped California Baptist to two shutout wins by anchoring the defensive line for a total of 156 minutes. Allen and the Lancer defense limited the Thunderbirds and Trailblazers to a combined four shots on goal.
 
O’Brien, a senior goalkeeper, posted her second and third clean sheet of WAC play this season as CBU picked up two shutout victories last week. O’Brien tallied two saves each against Southern Utah and Utah Tech and improved her conference goals against average to 1.26. O’Brien grew her WAC lead in total shutouts this year to six, doubling the next highest in the league.
