The 2025 WAC Men’s Soccer Tournament field is set. CBU LOOKS TO CONTINUE WINNING TOURNAMENT WAYS AT HOME
Top seeded California Baptist is looking to keep its unblemished record in home WAC Tournament matches rolling during the 2025 edition of the league tournament. As the fifth seed at Lancer Field in 2023, CBU downed No. 4 Utah Valley and No. 1 Air Force before advancing past No. 2 San José State in penalties to reach its first NCAA tournament. The Lancers ultimately repeated as WAC champions in 2024 after winning a pair of tournament games in Las Vegas.

SJSU MAKES RECORD SETTING WAC TOURNAMENT APPEARANCE
San José State is making a 13th all-time appearance in the WAC Men’s Soccer Tournament, marking the most trips to the soccer championship in conference history. San José State has fashioned an 8-10-4 (.455) tournament mark and has finished as the conference runner-up on five occasions.

GCU’S DIOUF DOUBLES AS WAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER, FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR
Grand Canyon forward Junior Diouf captured both WAC Offensive Player and Freshman of the Year honors for the 2025 season as announced by the conference on Nov. 7. Diouf became the first freshman to win the conference’s top offensive award since it was established in 2013. Through 15 matches played thus far this season, Diouf was the WAC leader in both goals (14) and points (32) entering conference tournament play.

THE WAC IN THE NCAA RPI RANKINGS
California Baptist remained in the top spot in the WAC in the latest NCAA RPI report released on Nov. 7, checking in 44th after compiling a 6-2 record thus far against the national top 100. San José State (60th, 2-2-3 top 100 record) and Grand Canyon (61st, 3-2-2 top 100 record) were also included among the top 75 teams nationally in the latest rankings.
