2025 WAC Men's Golf Championship Final Results
PAYSON, Ariz. – Seattle U secured its second men’s golf team championship in the WAC, earning a three-shot win at the conclusion of a wild final round on Sunday at the 2025 WAC Men’s Golf Championship at Chaparral Pines. Utah Valley sophomore
Dane Huddleston captured his first conference individual championship by winning a two-hole playoff against defending champion
Kevin Li from Seattle U.
Seattle U won the conference title for the first time since 2017 after finishing at 20-over-par 884 (290-296-298). Grand Canyon was the team runner-up at 23-over 887 (293-300-294), with Utah Valley (304-295-289=888, +24), Tarleton State (297-293-299=889, +25) and Abilene Christian (304-301-287=892, +28) rounding out the team top five.
Huddleston (75-68-72) and Li (71-72-72) remained deadlocked at 1-under-par 215 following 54 holes to enter a sudden death playoff. After matching pars at the 18th hole, Li pulled his tee shot out of bounds left off the 10th tee and allowed Huddleston to two-putt for the individual victory.
The tournament triumph was the fifth for Huddleston in 11 starts this season, preventing Li from becoming the first repeat winner of the WAC championship since 2004. Utah Tech’s
Ashton McArthur was solo third at even par 216 (74-71-71), while Seattle U’s
Walker Lamb (72-77-68) and Tarleton State’s
Carson Gallaher (71-71-75) tied for fourth place at 1-over-par 217.
