ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley’s Paxton Maxwell has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfer of the Month for September 2025.
 
Maxwell, a sophomore, collected a pair of top-10 finishes and a pair of under par total scores in September. Maxwell posted an 8-under-par 208 (68-67-73) for a career-best solo fourth place finish in a 115-player field at Air Force’s Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational. Maxwell tallied 16 birdies in the tournament, the third most in the field, with eight coming in the first round. He also recorded the best score in the field on par-5s at 9-under-par, averaging 4.25 strokes on par-5 holes. Maxwell then carded rounds of 71-72-68 to claim seventh place at 211 (-5) in Rice’s Bayou City Collegiate Classic. Maxwell compiled 13 birdies along with an eagle on the 537-yard, par-5 hole 1 on the final round.
